Ridiculous position change suggested for returning Chelsea star

The Sun have made some serious hay out of posting ridiculous lineups for various teams, and then watching them spread across social media.

The more crazy the team they post, the more widely shared it becomes, so it’s not surprise to see them try some really outlandish stuff now as the season pushes on.

Chelsea have played two games in the Premier League and scored one goal, so clearly finding a solution up front is a priority for Frank Lampard, but we can’t see him trying this solution just yet. The Sun say that he’s “believed to be considering trying” Ruben Loftus-Cheek up front as a lone striker.

Even if you ignore the weasel words they choose, which really reduce the claim to pure speculation by the time you reach the end of the paragraph, it seems an unlikely decision. Yes we’re looking for more goals, but things really shouldn’t be that desperate at this stage. We’ve only played 3 games, and one of our three striking options hasn’t even been given a chance up front yet.

Let’s at least make it to October before we start believing any of these outlandish ideas.
