Report: Chelsea midfielder’s former team seriously considering re-signing him

Monaco are ‘seriously considering’ re-signing Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to L’Equipe.

In a report that has been cited by Sport Witness, the publication claims that talks have already taken place regarding Bakayoko heading back to France.

The 24-year old has once again found himself out of favour at Chelsea, despite making a handful of appearances during pre-season.

He now looks to be surplus to requirements under Frank Lampard, and is likely to go out on loan.

Bakayoko joined Chelsea from Monaco in 2017 for £40 million, according to The BBC, and he was a sought after young player tipped to become a real talent.

However, his promise has yet to transpire, and The Blues sent him out on loan to AC Milan last season where although he had spells of greatness, never really took the league by storm.

Lampard has a decent sized squad in the midfield position, so it looks like the one capped France International could be heading out of Stamford Bridge once again.
