“I’m very happy” – Chelsea forward delighted with life under Frank Lampard

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has revealed his delight with life under Frank Lampard’s management at Stamford Bridge, report Goal.

Giroud was somewhat discontented last season due to his lack of Premier League action. Maurizio Sarri elected him as our Europa League centre-forward, but nothing more.

The Frenchman appears to be completely content with the direction things are heading in with former foe Lampard at the helm, however, as he revealed after the Super Cup defeat.

Giroud is quoted by Goal revealing his happiness with his current situation:

“I feel very good at Chelsea and I’m very happy and I’m sad after the results, but I have high expectations for the season because we have a very good squad.”

Whether the former Arsenal man will be successful in his quest to nail down a starting spot at the spearhead of our attack is something that only time can tell.

However, having been handed the opportunity to start against Liverpool, the signs are positive for Giroud. It’s no surprise that he is happier with Lampard holding the reins than he was under Sarri last term.
