It has been confirmed. David Luiz is now an Arsenal player.

If you told us that we’d be writing that sentence prior to yesterday afternoon’s explosion of information, we would have thought you were mad.
But it’s true, and it’s happened. Luiz has penned a two-year contract with the Gunners. The fee is £8M, as per David Ornstein.
We’re going to keep this short, as it’s all still very raw. Luiz was one of the players we all loved the most, and in 24 hours he’s thrown it all away.
Of course, we don’t know the full information, so perhaps it’s ignorant to blame Luiz himself, but Arsenal appeared to be his preferred destination.
No true Chelsea legend would so firmly push for a transfer to a direct rival.
We have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of David Luiz to Arsenal.
Thank you for your service and good luck, David!

Frank Lampard will be forced to plug the hole in the squad with youngster Fikayo Tomori, who could have left on loan if not for Luiz’s insistence to leave.
We wish him the best.
