Manager disputes to go on despite £9m payout

Antonio Conte is undertaking further legal action against Chelsea, despite winning £9m in the tribunal over his sacking earlier this summer.

The Times report that the Italian coach, who was in charge at Stamford Bridge for two seasons, is now a claimant in a dispute being held at the Central London Employment Tribunal – that’s despite the fact he’s already won a payout and is currently preparing for his first game as manager of Inter Milan in Serie A.

A “manager’ tribunal” organised by the Premier League found in favour of the former Juve coach, who was sacked after two seasons at Stamford Bridge. That meant he was paid out the full final year of his contract which he was not able to fulfil, but clearly that’s not enough for him.

The Sun point out that Conte can only win a maximum of £60,000 in this second case, so the motive is unlikely to be entirely financial.
