Chelsea are taking on Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup final.
The Blues are sitting deep, soaking up Red pressure, and then striking on the counter. They’ve got a 1-0 lead and they deserve it.
The key orchestrator in this counter press is the returning N’Golo Kante, who has been all over the pitch snuffing out Liverpool moves and pushing Chelsea up the pitch.
His return from injury has given us a bigger boost than we could have hoped. Chelsea fans on social media are going absolutely wild for his return.
You can see some of their reaction here:
Injured Kanté is starting to become one of my favourite players. Never-mind fully fit Kanté

N’golo Kante is indeed a World Class player. As in, he’s not 100% fit for this match and he’s dominating the midfield like the prime Iniesta. My word, we are truly bless to have him. #GeneralKante 💙 pic.twitter.com/lyC3PLH0oZ

In the first 45 minutes of the Super Cup, N'Golo Kante has completed more dribbles than every single Liverpool player combined.

N'Golo Kanté completed more take-ons (4) than any other player on the pitch in the first half of the #SuperCup.

My favourite part was when he got scared of Kante and just ran away #LIVCHE

N’Golo Kante is one of the best midfielders in the world and I don’t want to hear otherwise, he’s not even 100% fit and he’s running the show in midfield, the impact he has on a team is simply unbelievable.
As Chelsea fans, we are very lucky to have both Jorginho and Kante.

After 45 minutes of being the best attacking and defensive player on the pitch, Kante will now stick some keeper's gloves on and give that a go in the second period. #SuperCup
