Eden Hazard has wished fellow Chelsea legend Ashley Cole well in his retirement with a post on his Instagram story. Once a Blue, always a Blue!
Hazard only had the opportunity to be flanked by the greatest left-back of his generation for one season at Chelsea, and unfortunately that was once Cole’s legs were heavier than they once were.
Cole’s experience and footballing wisdom will no doubt have left its effect on young Eden, though, with the now Real Madrid winger taking time to wish his former teammate well for the future.
Cole announced his retirement from professional football on Sunday afternoon, with Hazard posting the below on his Instagram story. We love this from Eden – his blood is still blue!
We hope to see Cole being given the opportunity to return to Chelsea and learn his trade as a coach. Of course, the door will always be open for Eden to come back as well!
