Good news for Chelsea as early season absentees train ahead of Leicester clash

Early season absentees Willian and Antonio Rudiger have taken part in full training ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Leicester City this weekend, report Football London.

While there are many positives to take from Chelsea’s opening two fixtures, which we lost, the most encouraging thing from our perspective is the amount of quality we still have waiting to return to the action.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Reece James are arguably our three most promising younger players, with none of them being able to take part in a single training session under Frank Lampard to date.

We also have the more senior Willian and Rudiger, who both played key roles in last season’s ‘success’, waiting in the wings to make their returns from injury. By the sound of things, we won’t have to wait much longer to see them in action.

Football London report that both players have trained ahead of our clash with Leicester tomorrow afternoon, and thus will be in contention for selection. That’s great news for Lampard as he seeks his first win as Chelsea manager.
