Ghanaian loanee must be hoping he can make permanent transfer

Football Ghana are reporting that Baba Rahman, one of the true forgotten men of Chelsea’s loan army, is back at Cobham.

After spending part of last season on loan at Schalke and part at Reims in France, he played in the Africa Cup of Nations with Ghana, explaining his long break since.

He’s got no chance of making our squad, with two left backs in place, so he will just be keeping fit and trying to arrange another loan – or presumably preferably a permanent switch.

He’s spent years out on loan now, never being able to settle anywhere, and his injuries have meant a really bitty career so far. Surely he’s keen to get a move to somewhere where he can establish himself again?

Football Ghana claim that there is interest from Germany and Italy, while a move to Marseille has fallen through; with former Chelsea boss Andre Villas Boas apparently keen to bring the left back to Ligue 1.
