The Express have revealed how much Frank Lampard earns as Chelsea manager – and it’s not as much as you might think.
Lampard sealed his return to his beloved club at the beginning of July, being elected as Maurizio Sarri’s replacement, with the Italian joining Juventus.
You’d think, with the financial firepower we have at our disposal, Lampard would be on mega-bucks, but it doesn’t appear to be the case, or so the Express report.
The Express believe that Lampard’s deal works out at £4M-per-year, which is £77K-a-week. That’s peanuts when you compare it to some of the players in our squad.
Spotrac‘s understanding is that Lampard is the 16th highest paid person on our payroll, behind Tiemoue Bakayoko, Michy Batshuayi and even Baba Rahman.
It’s a funny old game, but Lampard likely couldn’t have demanded much more when you consider he would have been earning even less while in charge of Derby.
