Exciting news for Chelsea fans as top midfielder set for early injury return

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is expecting to be back in training within 4-6 weeks, according to The Evening Standard journalist Simon Johnson, who cites Sky Sports.

This is great news for Chelsea fans, with many believing we would not see Loftus-Cheek until early next year.

However, it appears Blues fans might get the joy of watching him back on the field well before the end of this year now.

The 23-year old academy graduate is a much admired player amongst Chelsea fans, and they know how important he will be for them this season, and moving forward.

He’s unfortunately been plagued with injuries during his career so far, so will be hoping for some longevity out on the pitch this time around.

He will surely be a key player for Frank Lampard, who is starting his first season as Chelsea manager and will be looking for Ruben’s flair and creativity.

With Chelsea being unable to sign players this summer, Loftus-Cheek’s return will be like signing a new player.
