Defender without a single Chelsea appearance set for permanent move away

Michael Hector is in talks with Sheffield Wednesday over a permanent move from Chelsea, according to The Daily Mail.

The report states that Hector signed for Chelsea from Reading for £4 million in 2015, but has never made a competitive appearance for The Blues.

The 27-year old has played for 15 different clubs on loan during his professional career, that really is quite something.

But as The Mail now reports, he could be about to join the team he was on loan at last season, and hopefully settle down in a place he can call home.

Sheffield Wednesday will need to work fast though to get the deal over the line, with Thursday’s 5pm transfer deadline fast approaching.

Hector is a Jamaican international, and has made 24 appearances for his country.

Last season he became a fan favourite at Sheffield Wednesday, featuring regularly for them, making 37 appearances.

But it appears his Chelsea dream is set to be officially over, without even managing to make one competitive appearance in the shirt.
