Chelsea v Leicester lineups: Mason Mount starts, home debut for Christian Pulisic

Frank Lampard has named his first starting eleven as Chelsea manager at Stamford Bridge. That’s a sentence we never anticipated we’d be writing.

Lampard will be desperate to leave today’s clash with Leicester City with all three points, having been defeated twice in two competitive games in charge of Chelsea thus far.

Our performances in both games were encouraging, particularly in the Super Cup, so today is the day to translate that into points on the board, which we’re confident we will.

Here is the starting eleven that those in attendance at the Bridge this afternoon will be seeing in action on their return to their beloved stadium after several months away.

Lampard has opted to keep Olivier Giroud in the starting eleven after his goal against Liverpool, with Tammy Abraham being forced to watch from the sidelines.

Mason Mount has been given the chance to start from the beginning, as he slots in behind the Frenchman, flanked by Christian Pulisic, who is making his home debut.

What do you think, Blues?
