PSG and Monaco show interest in Chelsea misfit with summer transfer still possible

Both PSG and Monaco are weighing up the possibility of signing Chelsea flop Tiemoue Bakayoko before the closing of the European transfer window, according to the Express.

Bakayoko was seemingly revived at AC Milan last season after a disastrous debut campaign as a Chelsea player. However, even having featured in pre-season, it wasn’t enough to convince Frank Lampard of his worth.

The Frenchman has been frozen out, much like midfield counterpart Danny Drinkwater, and now seems certain to be departing before the summer transfer window closes once and for all.

Marina Granovskaia will be frantically pursuing potential suitors and it looks as though two may have fallen in her lap. The Express claim that both PSG and Monaco are showing an interest.

It’s unclear whether either would take the risk of purchasing him on a permanent basis, or it would be an initial loan, but Bakayoko’s time as a Chelsea player appears to be coming to an end regardless.
