Chelsea have left the door open for prominent figure to return to the club

Chelsea have left the door open for Didier Drogba to return to the club should he wish to do so, according to a report published by the Daily Mail on the prospect of Ashley Cole’s potential homecoming.

The Blues have welcomed back a host of familiar faces this summer. The first of which was Petr Cech, closely followed by Frank Lampard, Jody Morris, Claude Makelele and more.

It really feels as though the board are intent on getting the gang back together at Stamford Bridge, which is lovely to see. We have a backroom of Chelsea fans, which will only help our cause.

One of the most prominent figures in our rich history, Didier Drogba, may well have a spot for him at Chelsea, too. At least that’s what the Daily Mail claim in their report.

It’s believed that Chelsea have swung the door open for Drogba to come back. Whether he has other ambitions, or would rather wait a little while, remains to be seen…
