Chelsea flop could be forced to return to Italy as options run thin for loans

The Sun are reporting that with just a few days until the close of the transfer window, Tiemoue Bakayoko is pushing for a move back to AC Milan to end his Chelsea stasis.

The 25 year old spent last season on loan at the Italian club, going through a good spell and a bad spell, and eventually falling out with erstwhile coach Gennaro Gattuso.

Since then however, the former midfielder has been replaced by a new man, and Bakayoko clearly sees an opening to return under different circumstances. Frank Lampard doesn’t fancy him at all – he’s not even been on the bench for the games so far this season, and didn’t attend several legs of the preseason tour too.

Clearly we want to get rid of him, either on loan or permanently before the deadline, and we’ll probably let him go to whomever will take him.

There have been various clubs mentioned, but Milan, given he had some success there last season, is one of the more feasible destinations.
