Chelsea Under-23s beat Liverpool Under-23s 3-0 on Monday evening in front of a small Stamford Bridge crowd.
Many of those would have been there to witness the return of fan favourite Antonio Rudiger, who thankfully cam through 90 minutes unscathed.

Rudiger looked very sharp, confident on the ball, and cut out a number of Liverpool threats with ease.
It will be a reassuring watch for Chelsea fans, who are keen to see him at the heart of the defence again.
His manager Frank Lampard was also watching on, and would have been pleased with what he saw.
The boss is at the Bridge for our first development squad home game of the season. He'll be happy with what he's seen so far, particularly that Batshuayi brace!

Another one of Lampardโs players Michy Batshuayi also played 90 minutes, and he would have given his manager something to ponder over as well, by scoring two very good goals, and putting on a very decent show.

Bathsuayi has been out of favour so far under Lampard, who has opted to use Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham over him.
But he has certainly staked a strong claim to be considered for the next match.
