Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger ‘looks ready’ to play 90 minutes for the Blues after featuring against Liverpool U23s in PL2 on Monday night, according to Goal journalist Nizaar Kinsella.
Rudiger has missed the start of the season with a knee injury he suffered towards the end of last season, which has seen our backline look all the more precarious as a result.
Frank Lampard will no doubt be desperate to have the German international fit and available for selection as soon as possible, and it looks like he won’t have to wait much longer.
Nizaar Kinsella posted the below tweet after Chelsea U23s 3-0 win over Liverpool U23s, during which Rudiger featured. His belief is that he’s ready to return for the senior side.
Antonio Rudiger looks ready to start after 90 minutes. I am sure he will be assessed physically again though after tonight

We’d be reluctant to rush him back into action, but Nizaar knows his football. If Rudiger looks to be in good enough condition to start, then let’s get him back in the side.
