Youngster’s representatives make Chelsea contract demand

The representatives of Callum Hudson-Odoi have requested to Chelsea that he is to be given the number 10 shirt this season, as part of his new contract deal with the club, according to The Standard.

The report claims that as part of the talks for the 18-year old’s new 5-year contract at Chelsea, his representatives have requested he takes the shirt formerly occupied by Eden Hazard.

Current Blues winger Willian made claims that he had already been told he would be wearing the number 10 at Chelsea next season, in an interview with Brazilian TV show Desimpedidos, as cited by The Metro.

But the same report from The Standard reveals Frank Lampard confirming that despite Willian’s comments, no decision has been made on the number 10 shirt as of yet.

Hudson-Odoi has already agreed the terms of his £100k-a-week contract with the London club, and time will tell whether he is being handed the number 10 shirt is part of the deal or not.
