Wigan interested in Dujon Sterling as Reece James replacement according to Sky Sports source

Dujon Sterling has been linked with a move to Wigan on loan.

The talented academy product had his first senior season last year with Coventry in League 1, impressing while still looking a little raw at times.

Now he looks set to upgrade to the Championship, with the resurgent Wigan sniffing around him according to Sky Sports presenter Lyall Thomas:

If he does make the move to the North West, he will be taking the place of Reece James, who shone at right back for the Latics last season.

Young Sterling should thrive playing at a higher level, and while he faces still competition to be the right back of our future with James looking like a world class talent, there’s nothing to stop Sterling making his way to the Premier League in the next couple of years.

Given the success we had sending James to Wigan, it’s no surprise to see us try and repeat the trick. Let’s hope this one goes through, it could work well all round.
