The two Chelsea players Lampard has already decided to get rid of and why

Chelsea have started their preseason training, and there is plenty of excitement from fans about the potential for young kids to come through the academy or return from loans and break into Frank Lampard’s squad.

Some of them will surely manage it in the coming weeks, but for every one who does, another more senior member will have to depart. The questions over who those departing players will be are almost as interesting.

The Daily Star are this morning reporting that Alvaro Morata and Victor Moses are two likely to be sent packing. It’s hard to disagree with that assessment.

Moses, with the exception of an outstanding year as a wing back under Antonio Conte, has never really been able to carve a niche at Chelsea, and after another year back out on loan last time out, we expect him to make a more permanent switch this time.

Morata is a more interesting case, as he is possibly our most talented striker, but given how badly his mental state disintegrated last time he was at the club, it would be no surprise to see us let him turn his loan move to Atletico into a permanent one.
