“All things look possible” – Chelsea talent looks set to finally get his chance

There have been many false alarms for poor Tammy Abraham over the years, with the striker never really having got a shot at playing regularly – or at all- for Chelsea during a season.

He’s always done well on loan, but not quite well enough to force his way into a first team squad that’s usually packed with international talent.

At the moment however, thanks to our transfer ban, we’re in a unique position, and Tammy will finally get to compete for playing time with Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi – two more established names but not necessarily better players right now.

“I’ve been here since the age of six and there’s been no better opportunity to graft and work hard for a starting spot and a place in the team for a massive club such as Chelsea,” Abraham said in quotes carried by Sky Sports.

“With the new manager in charge, all things look possible, so it gives the young lads and a lot of the players the chance to believe.”

As much as anything, it’s giving the youngsters that belief that really matters here. Whether or not it works out for Tammy, the effects it will have in the youth teams of this club will be difficult to measure if a path to first team action opens up.
