Chelsea face St Patrick’s at Richmond Park in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
Frank Lampard has integrated more of the first team players into this XI, and players like Jorginho and David Luiz make their first appearances under the new manager.
Tammy Abraham gets a start up front, and Lampard favourite Fikayo Tomori starts with Luiz in the back 4. The fact that Abraham is up front with Batshuayi is very interesting indeed, is this just s fitness thing, or is Frank really planning to play with two strikers?
We still think this is some way off from the final team that he will go for once the season starts, but the integration of the first team players has begun. We can’t wait to see how this team performs this afternoon, and in the games that are coming up.
