Antonio Rudiger has sent a message to Chelsea fans after celebrating the two year anniversary of him signing for the club.
When Rudiger arrived at Chelsea, few knew what to expect. There’s scarcely a Chelsea supporter who doubles up as a Serie A aficionado, all we had heard about was his serious knee injury.
Not only that, but the club decided to create an incredibly cringey announcement video, in-fitting with what other clubs were doing at the time. It was so bad we’re not even going to include it in this piece.
We didn’t expect Rudiger to establish himself in the manner that he has, both as a player and a character in the dressing room. He’s taken every chance he’s had and now has to be considered a key figure.
We’ve enjoyed every minute of having the German as a Blue, and it appears as though those feelings are reciprocated. Rudiger posted the below tweet after marking two years at Stamford Bridge.
