Manchester United suffer injury blow with Chelsea opening fixture on the horizon

Manchester United have been hit with a pre-season injury blow, with the opening day fixture against Chelsea now on the horizon, report Football London.

While it feels as though pre-season has only just begun, before we know it the 2019/20 Premier League season will be upon us – and we can’t chuffing wait.

On August 11th, Chelsea and Manchester United will take to the Old Trafford turf in what both sides hope will be the start of a successful campaign.

It’s been dubbed the battle of the club legends, for obvious reasons, with whoever comes out on top laying down a marker for their ambitions going forward.

Lampard will be hoping it’s he who is victorious on the day, and he’s just been given an inadvertent boost in his efforts to secure all three points.

As Football London report, Victor Lindelof has suffered an injury while partaking in United’s pre-season campaign.

While we would never celebrate a player getting injured, it complicates things for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, which is only good news for Chelsea ahead of the contest.
