Lampard lets go of a fan favourite staff member as shakeup continues

Carlo Cudicini will not continue as goalkeeping coach at Chelsea, according to an exclusive in the Telegraph from Matt Law.

The former Blues stopper was brought in by Antonio Conte in 2017 and continued under Maurizio Sarri as the chief goalkeeping coach.

Apparently the club are still interested in keeping him on the staff in a more ambassadorial role, but his time as goalkeeping coach are over.

According to the same report, Hilario has been taking care of the goalies in Ireland so far, but it’s not clear if he will be used full time in that role from now on. If Frank has decided to make a change from what was being used successfully previously then he must have something in mind.

We hope Carlo does stay on, he’s a great guy to have around and knows Chelsea inside out. Certainly a man as famously handsome as him makes an ideal ambassador for the club.
