These Pep Guardiola comments will only intensify Chelsea’s fears over youngster

While all the recent updates on Callum Hudson-Odoi’s contract situation have been positive, Pep Guardiola isn’t helping allay our fears he could sign for Bayern Munich this summer.

The Guardian reported yesterday that Chelsea were set to hold further talks with Hudson-Odoi’s camp in the coming days, with the intention of convincing him to snub Bayern and extend his contract.

Following the appointments of Frank Lampard and Jody Morris, and their willingness to use our younger players, you would think that Hudson-Odoi would no longer see any reason to depart.

However, interest from a club like Bayern Munich is always going to turn heads, and following these recent comments from Pep Guardiola on their plan-B, they may become desperate in their pursuit of CHO.

Pep is quoted by Sky Sports, who note of interest from Bayern in Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, essentially confirming that the German will not be going anywhere during the current transfer window:

“Yes. The club made him an offer last year. As I said many times, we want people happy to be here. We are going to help him to be the best.”

“We know his potential and what his level is. He has a special quality difficult to find around the world.”

With the alternative off the table for the Bavarian side, they could be left with no option but to push forward with their interest in Hudson-Odoi, which could prove dangerous for us if we don’t tie him down soon.
