Frank Lampard’s first decision at Chelsea will shock the system as Sarri never did in his full year in charge

It is an open secret that Chelsea are getting close to announcing Frank Lampard and already the former midfielder of the Blues is making plans to integrate the youth system with the first team.

The decision will shock the entire Blues fraternity as some of the details have never been practiced by his predecessors. Lampard aims to make changes to the training times, to be able to attend both the first team and youth training.

According to the Telegraph who broke the story on Monday, Lampard if hired, will instruct the youth coaches to change the training times so he can attend either before or after leading the first team in their sessions.

The report also boldly predicts that for the first time since Andre Villas-Boas split the youth from the seniors, Lampard will reunite them during training, including making sure both sets of players eat together.

He even intends to invite some youth players to train with the first team at times during his stay at the club as manager. This will excite the academy teams who have been hoping to see career progression for some of their young talents in Cobham.
