Sources at Chelsea, including the mysterious and often accurate Carefree Youth, are reporting that Frank Lampard has signed the contract that makes him Chelsea’s new manager.
The whole process has been a lot slower than expected, especially when you consider the former Blues star has been the clear favourite for some time now. However at last it looks like it’s about to be completed.
It seems just a matter of announcing the change now, with the deal having been agreed between all parties. The excitement is growing, and now we know it’s a done deal we can finally start thinking about what a Frank Lampard managed Chelsea team will look like.
With a transfer ban in place it won’t be an easy first season, but Frank won’t take any excuses from anywhere. He’s coming back to win, there’s no doubting that.
