Frank Lampard has just taken charge of his third match in charge of Chelsea, and while the result was disappointing, it gave reporters a chance to put a microphone under his nose again to find out a little more about the future of some players in the squad.
When it came to Kurt Zouma, which sources like the Daily Express named as a target for Everton this summer, and who seemed in our opinion like he was a candidate for a loan, Frank was clear. He wants the Frenchman to stay and make up part of the squad.
The club posted his quotes on the official account, as you can see below:

We’re happy to hear it. Kurt may well be our best defender in some aspects, and it’s definitely worth keeping him around to see how he gets on with Antonio Rudiger starting the season out injured.
Zouma started for the Blues tonight, and seems a candidate to play a lot for us this season.
