European giants increase bid by £10m as desperation to get Chelsea star heightens

Bayern Munich are still hoping to land Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer, despite the player still receiving treatment for an ankle injury he picked up three months ago.

The winger broke into the Chelsea first team last season under Maurizio Sarri, making several appearances in cup competitions and a few in the Premier League, only weeks before sustaining an Achilles tendon injury. He faces a difficult spell on the sidelines but that has not deterred Bayern from making more bids for his signature.

According to Sky Sports in January, the Bavarians submitted four bids for Hudson-Odoi but were all rejected by the Blues, with the last coming in at £35 million. The 18-year old did not, however, sign a contract extension to renew his deal that ends in the summer of 2020, so that may have given Bayern hope that they stand a chance of winning the race for the winger.

The Daily Mail says the record-Bundesliga winners are readying a mammoth offer of £45m for the England U-20 international, an increase of £10m
