The difference between Callum Hudson-Odoi and new signing explained by former footballer

The Daily Star today have some really interesting quotes about Chelsea’s attacking prospects for the season.

Of course there’s no point comparing apples and oranges, but in this case Christian Pulisic is being compared with Callum Hudson-Odoi.

In reality, what matters is that they are both Chelsea players. But given that, we can start to assess what their respective strengths and weaknesses are.

Micky Gray, the former Sunderland winger being quoted by the Star, says that CHO is a better player, although more “raw” than his new teammate. There’s no argument there. Pulisic has a ridiculous number of minutes at the top level for someone of his age, while Callum hasn’t even had a loan spell to get experience yet.

What matters is that they both play for us, and hopefully each can bring their own qualities to the squad this season. It’s going to be all hands to the pumps with this transfer ban in place, and attitude will be vital to get us through it.
