When Christian Pulisic could play first minutes for Chelsea this preseason

Frank Lampard is still finding his way around the Chelsea team after taking on the role as first team head coach this summer.

Having only begun his career in management last summer, Lampard is eager to know that his reign at Stamford Bridge will be a success and the players he will work with, most certainly will be crucial to this goal. So January signing Christian Pulisic and Willian’s arrival in pre-season camp will be high on Lampard’s wishlist.

That the USA international decided to cut short his holidays and report to pre-season camp early, as reported by the Evening Standard, will obviously be good news to the Chelsea technical team.

Having missed the first two pre-season games in Ireland against Bohemians and St. Patrick’s, Chelsea fans can expect to see Pulisic in action in Japan when the Blues travel to the Asian country this week.

Pulisic will not be available for selection until next week, says that report, which means he will likely be out of the game against Kawasaki Frontale but could be ready for the important friendly against Barcelona on Tuesday, July 23.
