Chelsea youngster set to sign to new contract that increases weekly wage by staggering £90,000

Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus Cheek has reportedly agreed to sign a new deal at the club worth £150,000-per-week.

The midfielder has been one of the biggest discoveries from Chelsea’s academies in the last decade and his emergence into the first team, although not smooth, has earned him plaudits around the world, and now more money.

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea have awarded the 23-year old with a new deal worth £150,000-a-week to keep him at the club in the long term. The Blues are desperate to tie him to a new deal despite the player picking up an injury to his achilles that will likely rule him out of action for almost a year via TalkSport.

Rumored new Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard will rely on Loftus-Cheek a lot and plans to make him an integral member of his midfield. So this is a welcome boost for Lampard who has also been tipped to unite the first and youth teams in his time at Stamford Bridge.
