Atletico Madrid are preparing to make a bid for Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, who is currently on loan at the La Liga club following his 18-month move in January.
The Spain international had struggled to establish himself in the Premier League after a turbulent one and half seasons at Stamford Bridge.
After signing for the Blues in the summer of 2016, Morata scored only 11 goals in 31 appearances and grabbed a further four more in all other competitions. He was shipped off to Spain when the Premier league giants realized he would not function excellently under Maurizio Sarri.
His stint at the club he began his career has not been as bad. He has scored six goals in 15 appearances in the La Liga and although Atletico are still pondering his future, the Telegraph says they are ready to make a bid for him after Chelsea threatened to cancel the loan deal if a permanent fee is not agreed on in the next few days.
