Chelsea official site reports on one potential loan departure and a rejected bid from a Premier League team

Chelsea’s own official site has hinted at loan moves for Reece James and Lewis Baker.

The Media Watch section on the club’s official site is their own way of stirring up interest and rumours, and this time they’ve gone with an idea which otherwise might be seen as pretty unlikely – sending Reece James out on loan.

The youngster looks more likely to be battling for minutes in the first team this season, but that hasn’t stopped the club encouraging pointless speculation by writing about bids for the youngster from Crystal Palace, which to their credit they admit have been rejected.

Also linked with a move is Lewis Baker, who is a much more likely candidate for departure, whether permanent or on yet another loan. Either way, he’s a lot further from first team action given the depth of talent we have in central midfield.

His future may well be in Germany, with the site reporting on rumours that he’s in Austria where Fortuna Dusseldorf are having their training camp.
