Chelsea midfielder reveals one thing he will enjoy under Frank Lampard

Italian international Jorginho signed for Chelsea last summer for £50 million, potentially rising to £57 million, according to Sky Sports.

He joined from Napoli alongside Maurizio Sarri, signing a 5-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

A year later, and still with 4 years left on his contract, Jorginho finds himself already playing under his second head coach in London, Frank Lampard.

The former Chelsea player took the reigns this summer after his counterpart joined Juventus in Serie A.

Sarri played a very specific style and formation that Jorginho knew well from his time in Italy, playing under him for four years.

However, it looks like Lampard will be using a slightly different formation and system this season, something that Jorginho is getting used to in pre-season.

But there is one thing that he will be getting a lot more of in Lampard’s system, and that’s more freedom.

Speaking to the Chelsea FC website, Jorginho spoke about Lampard’s system:

“It’s new for me and it will take a little bit of time but I like it and we are working well.

“I have more space to create and I’m more free so I can do many things with my creativity.

“My characteristics are to control the game, stay in the middle and organise the team but I can adapt as well.”
