Chelsea great could snub Turkey move as Premier League interest emerges

Burnley are prepared to offer former Chelsea captain Gary Cahill the opportunity to continue competing in the Premier League, according to an exclusive report published by The Sun.

Cahill departed Chelsea in the summer after an illustrious career at Stamford Bridge, during which the former England international won virtually every piece of silverware on offer.

Having been frozen out by Maurizio Sarri during his final campaign with the club, it became clear that Cahill would have to seek the exit door in order to continue to play during the swansong of his career.

Cahill is now a free agent, and as per The Sun, Burnley manager Sean Dyche is hoping that he will be successful in convincing the 33-year-old to move to Turf Moor this summer.

The report notes that Gazza could bank £30K-a-week at Burnley, while Galatasarary are also thought to be interested. There’s options on the table for him – but not a lot of time remaining to decide!

You would think that the prospect of remaining in England would be attractive to Cahill. Unearthing his life and moving to Turkey at this stage of his career would be a huge step. We shall see.
