Callum Hudson-Odoi has today agreed a new 5-year deal with Chelsea, worth £100k-a-week, according to The Times.
The Blues have been in talks with the representatives of the 18-year old over the summer, and despite reported interest from Bayern Munich, look to have convinced him to stay at Stamford Bridge.
The report states that Hudson-Odoi is expected to sign the deal before the new season begins.
This will be music to the ears of the Chelsea faithful and new head coach Frank Lampard.
Lampard has been keen to keep hold of the England international winger, and as reported by The Metro, spoke recently of his desire to keep Hudson-Odoi.
“He’s a player who’s come through the academy, he’s a player who can be a big player for Chelsea and England.
“We as a club as a whole want him to stay, for sure. I think he knows he has a manager here who wants to work with him to improve, and that takes hard work.”
Currently out injured, Hudson-Odoi has been enjoying his holidays whilst the rest of his team mates have been preparing for the new season.
But Lampard will be keen to get him back and integrated into the squad, ahead of a big season coming up in the Premier League.
