Bayern Munich are set to return with yet another bid for Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to a report published by the Metro.
Unfortunately for all Chelsea fans, until Hudson-Odoi signs along the dotted line and pens a contract extension with the club, speculation surrounding his future with the Blues is unlikely to subside.
Hudson-Odoi’s Chelsea contract is due to expire in the summer of 2020, meaning he could sign a pre-contract agreement with any interested club as soon as the January transfer window.
While we remain confident that he will eventually commit his future, you can’t blame Bayern for trying their luck. The Metro believe that their latest offer will amount to as much as £45M.
While that is a considerable sum for a player whose contract situation is pretty precarious, if Hudson-Odoi is able to fulfil his potential then he’ll be worth double that amount, if not more.
Our stance ought to be the same that it has always been. He’s not for sale, and we’re going to fight until the final day to get him to end the speculation by signing the chuffing contract.
