Another rumoured date for Lampard announcement appears

Chelsea will announce their next manager in the coming days with Frank Lampard tipped to be the man to fill the gap left by Maurizio Sarri.

This summer, Sarri left to join Juventus, leaving the Blues in search mode. The Italian introduced a sleek passing philosophy of playing football at Stamford Bridge, a trend the top hierarchy are keen not to let go. They have decided to return to the club a legend and bring back a feel-good factor among the fans and Lampard is top of the list.

The 41-year old is currently seeking assurances from Roman Abramovich and Sky Sports say he could be named the new Chelsea boss on Thursday.

Some details of the interview with Lampard were mentioned in the report by Sky Sports. The former midfielder was reportedly asked about his lack of experience as a manager and what his plans are to improve the club’s academy.
