The 13 players who just joined Frank Lampard’s pre-season to expand squad size to 35

Chelsea are gradually getting a full complement of their squad after 13 players joined Frank Lampard’s pre-season camp in Dublin, Ireland.

There were 22 players already with the new Chelsea head coach and the group has been preparing for their first pre-season game against Bohemians on Wednesday. Now permanently signed, Mateo Kovacic has joined his colleagues to prepare for the upcoming season.

Also on the list of new arrivals is N’Golo Kante and David Luiz who are eager to impress the new boss. With them are Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcos Alonso, Andreas Christensen, Emerson Palmieri, Olivier Giroud, Jorginho, Ross Barkley, Mason Mount, Izzy Brown, and Tammy Abraham.

The official Chelsea Twitter account welcomed back the new players with a video of them arriving from a bus:

As it stands, only Christian Pulisic and Willian are yet to arrive after a rest following their participation in the Gold Cup 2019 and the Copa America 2019 respectively.
