The seven former Chelsea stars featuring in Soccer Aid at Stamford Bridge this evening

Seven former Chelsea players will be involved in the Soccer Aid charity match at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Soccer Aid, founded by superstar Robbie Williams and friend Jonathan Wilkes, is a biyearly game of football intended to raise money for the charity UNICEF.

This is the first time in which the game has taken place in consecutive years, with Stamford Bridge being identified as the perfect venue for the contest.

As noted on the Chelsea website, there’ll be plenty of our club legends on show as the two sides take to the turf at 18:30 BST this evening.

Former captain John Terry, title-winners Glen Johnson and Joe Cole, as well as ex-Chelsea Ladies midfielder Katie Chapman will all be involved for England.

Two of our greatest ever, Ricardo Carvalho and Michael Essien, will be lining up against some of their former teammates for Piers Morgan’s World XI.

It’s being played at our great home, with several familiar faces in action, all for a good cause. It’ll certainly be worth your while tuning in this evening.

Best of luck to all former Blues involved!
