Tammy Abraham reveals his “aim” for this season

In an interview with Sky Sports, Tammy Abraham has admitted that he’s keen to break into the Chelsea first team this season.

The striker had an excellent season on loan with Aston Villa, helping fire them to the Premier League via the playoffs with 21 goals in 42 appearances.

They would love to keep him on for a Premier League campaign, but it may not be so easy. Chelsea’s transfer ban means they can’t bring in any forwards this summer, and with just Olivier Giroud and possibly Gonzalo Higuain as our options, there is a dire need for youth and fresh legs in attack.

Speaking to Sky, Tammy admitted that, while he would love to go back and play at Villa, his true intention was to do everything he could to get into the Blues squad for next season.

“You can never say never,” he said when asked about going back to Villa.

“Chelsea is obviously the club that I have been at since a young so the aim is to try and breakthrough there.”

We love to hear that. Whoever is in charge, let’s hope they give Tammy serious consideration for next year.
