It’s very much that time of year.
The season is over, there are no games left to be played, and papers up and down the country are looking for football related things to fill their pages.
The Mirror have come up with a good one – the most searched players in the Premier League on Wikipedia.
Chelsea would have had Eden Hazard up in third, behind just Mo Salah and Harry Kane. But with the Belgian gone, we have a surprise top entry – Kepa Arrizabalaga. Presumably that’s just 90% people who want to Tweet about him looking up how to spell his name.
Seriously though, new signings obviously get a boost as fans excitedly go to look up what they’re getting themselves in for.
There’s also a mention for N’Golo Kante and the soon to arrive Christian Pulisic on the list. Let’s hope that we can have a really successful season and bump up a new names up the list here.
