Leicester’s interest in Reece James has diminished, but not for the reason you might have imagined.
The full back picked up what looked like a serious injury against Chile for England U20s, ut recent reports say he will be back in action in a month or so.
That leaves the way clear for Leicester, but they face their own obstacles.
The Leicester Mercury says that the interest in the Chelsea talent has diminished because of our reluctance to sell him.

That should have been clear for a long time. He’s one of the brightest gems the academy has ever produced, and if they Foxes thought they were going to buy him outright they must have been drinking some strong stuff.
A loan deal might still be possible, but with Ricardo Pereira already in place at right back, there would be better options on the table for Reece.
We’ll see how it all develops – but don’t hold your breath waiting for him to go somewhere.
