We often wonder from an outsider’s perspective how things work for footballers behind the scenes.
While they are super rich and often shielded from the public eye a lot of the time, they still live mostly normal lives. Ultimately they are are people too, and young men in their early 20s. They do everything else men in their early 20s do, including wasting tons of time on Whatsapp.
In an interview quoted in the Sun today, Emerson Palmieri revealed that Eden Hazard had been forced to rather awkwardly quit the group he had with the other Chelsea players.
“He said goodbye to the boys and such, since then, we don’t know anything else… then it showed Eden Hazard left the group.”
“I said damn, he really left”.
Just imagine that. All the crying emojis that will have been posted by David Luiz and the like in the aftermath. It will certainly be a bit different when Danny Drinkwater does the same.
All that we can hope is that in a year or so there are some new star names being added to that group. “P Dybala joined the group anyone”? We can dream, at least…
