Why the new Chelsea manager will have to go to France to complete return to club

Frank Lampard is going to meet Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich this week as a deal to bring the former midfielder back to the club as manager continues.

It’s the logical next step in the process of bringing a manager in, and The Sun say that the legendary ex-player will go see his old boss in St Tropez to finalise the details of his sensational return.

With Maurizio Sarri now confirmed as Juventus manager, there’s nothing standing in Frank’s way. He’s on the verge of getting his dream job years ahead of schedule, and as long as things don’t go horribly wrong out there on the boat, he should be installed sooner rather than later.

That’s a relief – last summer our managerial search lasted well into the preseason, and that can’t be allowed to happen again. We have the money from Juve, let’s get this deal done quickly and get super frank back where he belongs.
