Maurizio Sarri to be named Juventus manager “within 48 hours”

It’s a story that has been bubbling away for some time, but it seems like we’re close to a conclusion now.

It seemed crazy at first that our coach was being linked with Juventus after a season that could be described as “up and down” in the politest terms, but the evidence mounting seems to show that’s the case.

Maurizio Sarri is their chosen man according to the Evening Standard, who even go as far as to say that he will be appointed within the next 48 hours. Then, once again, we will be without a manager, and without any real direction. It’s another huge summer coming up for this club.

In the end his spell here finished on a high with a Europa League medal, but there were points along the way that it looked like an unsustainable marriage. It’s probably wise for both parties to move on now, before things get sticky again.

We wish Maurizio the best of luck back in Italy.
