Maurizio Sarri hoping to take these two Chelsea players to Juventus this summer

Maurizio Sarri is hoping that Juventus will be able to sign two players from Chelsea this summer, according to journalist Duncan Castles.

As the Guardian report, Sarri is on the verge of leaving Chelsea after just one season in charge, with Serie A champions Juventus set to elect him as their new manager.

Sarri’s football was not good enough for some Chelsea fans this season, but they ought to be red in the face with one of the biggest clubs in the world set to appoint him.

The Italian brought Jorginho with him from Napoli to Chelsea last summer, with Gonzalo Higuain also arriving in January. He is clearly fond of players he knows and trusts.

For that reason, presumably, he wants to take two of our players with him to Turin. As per Duncan Castles, those two are Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri.

Interested he may be, but we can’t stress enough how unlikely it is that Sarri will be successful in his attempts to sign either of them this summer.

Jorginho only signed a long-term contract last summer, while Emerson Palmieri has recently displaced Marcos Alonso on the left-side of defence.

Not to mention the fact that, as things stand, the club would be completely unable to replace them. The transfer ban remains in place.

They’re going nowhere. Sorry, Maurizio.
